the news stations have been reporting that this january has been the driest month with only a total of 0.24" of rain in the bay area. the weather has been really weird -- beginning of january it was FREEEZING, but no rain at all. then these past two weeks we've had suuuuch gorgeous weather. i mean, i even threw on my shorts! now that may be typical when i lived in san diego, but the bay is totally different. we have seasons up here. and "autumn" actually does turn the foliage beautiful colors of red, yellow and orange -- not brown eucalyptus trees with the bark slowly shedding layers. (if any of you have ever been to san diego, you'll notice there's A LOT of eucalyptus trees and "brown" mountains), but i digress.
in any case, late last night while in bed, i noticed the sounds of the tree outside my window brushing against the screen, along with the faint sound of water droplets hitting the leaves of the tree. aaaahhhh....rain! well, i don't know if we would classify as rain, but it was enough for the radars to pick up the moisture.
Glad you finally had rain... wish I was there because here in KY, we've had snow and ice storms!!! I didn't work at all Monday thru Thursday because of the damage. Went in today for half a day! I was actually glad to be there for once...l0l!
