i cannot believe that it has been seven years since my little girl came into this world. it's crazy because i can still remember when she was a little baby bouncing in her high chair and cracking up at the littlest things.
i remember her first steps... her first potty... her first words... her first day of school... OH MY! but that's what she's here for...she's not here to stay 'baby' forever... we all have to grow up, and this is where my joy is. i watch this little girl change and become her own personality with each passing day.
this little "big" girl has shown me many many things. she has shown me that patience truly counts. she has shown me that there is so much to learn in this big world. she has shown me that without proper guidance...she can easily go down the wrong path. she has shown me how to love unconditionally. she has shown me that i am no longer the most important thing in my life. she has shown me that she is MORE LIKE ME than i really think. she has shown me that taking the time to teach her something NEW each day will make her into a well-rounded person. she has shown me that little kids can understand when things aren't okay. she has shown me that no matter what...I AM TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE HER IN MY LIFE!!!!
so as she grows up and jumps from a "six year-old" girl into a "seven year-old TWEEN" i will remember all that she has shown me. i hope im ready (and fit) for the next few years...oh boy. so here's what's in store: boys... girls... first crush... first heartbreak... mean people... sweet people... groundings... independence... possibly braces... tween-fashion... tween-music... tween-sayings such as "OH MY GAWD!" ~ i'm looking forward to all of it.
